What an honor it is to be a mother. To have a child that looks at you as their ultimate source for comfort, sustenance, warmth, and safety. With Nora's new ability to crawl, there are many sweet dashes towards me from across the room. She'll make eye contact, tilt her head to the side, and start making, "Mmmmmmmm" sounds as she slowly makes her way towards me. Climbing my legs and working her hands up my chest. I love these cuddles that stem from her desire for closeness (and milk).
Mother's Day as a mom is so much more rich and special. I whispered numerous times into Noodle's seashell ears yesterday my gratitude and my love for her. My life has blossomed with more color, sound, texture, and emotion than I previously believed was possible.
Our day began in the darkness of a Vegas morning, kissing Daniel's parents and sister goodbye...and ended with dinner at my mom's house in the evening.
Here are some of my favorite pics from our 33 week/Mother's Day shoot.
